Dannion Brinkley was struck twice by lightning, his first NDE happened in 1975 and is the most complete Near Death Experience on record! He is an International best-selling author and his books include Saved By The Light. He claims to use the psychic and spiritual gifts he received from his two near-death experiences to help the dying and needy.
In September 1975 Dannion Brinkley was talking on the telephone during a thunderstorm when he was struck by lightning and ‘died’. He was clinically dead for more than 20 minutes. But between leaving his body and returning to it, he had an extraordinary experience. He visited a spiritual realm and was brought before 13 angelic instructors in what he describes as ‘a cathedral of knowledge’. There, he was told of an event that would shake the world before the year 2000. Of the 117 revelations that he recalls, 95 have already come to pass.
“It went into the side of my head above my ear, it went down my spine,” Brinkley said. “It welded the nails of the heels of my shoes to the floor. It threw me up in the air, I saw the ceiling, it slammed me back down, and a ball of fire came through the room and blinded me. I am burning. I am on fire. I am paralyzed.“
In SAVED BY THE LIGHT Dannion Brinkley now uses the psychic and spiritual gifts he received to help the dying and the desperate. He has chosen to tell his story to inspire others and share his amazing insights into life, death, and the future.
He said that he has died three times, each during a surgery: once after open-heart surgery, once after brain surgery, and again after another open-heart surgery.
In these situations, he was clinically dead for a short period, meaning his heart stopped, and he wasn’t breathing, but doctors revived him each time. He clarifies that while he was on a machine to keep him alive, he doesn’t consider that “death” but rather a “near-death experience” because he was resuscitated.

When he was resuscitated, he describes “leaving his body” and observing what was happening around him. He stood next to the nurse, watching as they broke his ribs to restart his heart. He also remembers being calm during this experience and then coming back into his body.
He explains that when you’re outside your body during such an experience, you’re not actively participating in the world anymore. Instead, you’re an observer. He focused on the brilliance of the nurses and the care they gave him. Brinkley shares that he has had multiple such experiences, and by now, he is used to it.
Additionally, Brinkley has spent many years volunteering as a hospice worker, helping people in the final stages of life. He’s been a volunteer for over 40 years, with a significant portion of that time spent working with veterans. He co-founded a volunteer program called the Twilight Brigade, dedicated to providing care to dying veterans. He emphasizes that his experiences have helped shape his understanding and approach to death, more so than just being a “nice guy.”
Dannion Brinkley explains that when people have an NDE, they experience what’s called a “panoramic life review.” This means that your entire life flashes before your eyes in a 360-degree view. It’s as if you’re watching yourself from the perspective of your own best friend, which allows you to see your actions without feeling judged.

During this life review, you not only see your life unfold, but you also become every person you’ve ever encountered. You experience what they felt in response to your actions. This means if you’ve hurt someone, you feel their hurt; if you’ve made someone happy, you feel their joy. This experience helps you understand the impact your actions have had on others, which is a powerful lesson.
The key takeaway Brinkley emphasizes is the importance of understanding “why” you do things, not just “what” you do. The reasons behind your actions matter more than the actions themselves. He urges people to make sure their reasons for doing things are not selfish, petty, or hurtful. Instead, they should be for the greater good, filled with love, respect, and dignity.

Brinkley explains that if you can reflect on the reasons behind your actions, you can learn to be kinder and more thoughtful in your daily life. He encourages people to remember that it’s not just about what you do, but the intention behind it. He also encourages love and appreciation for others because when you love and appreciate yourself, you can genuinely show love and appreciation to others.
In simpler terms, Brinkley is saying that the most important part of life is understanding why you do things, and how your actions affect others. This understanding can help guide you to live a more thoughtful and compassionate life.
“If I didn’t go to hell, in the last four journeys, nobody’s going to hell, okay,” Brinkley said. “So, when you learn you don’t die, when you learn you’re a spiritual being, you’re not going to go to hell. That’s enough to inspire you to change.”
Brinkley turned his beliefs into action by helping terminally ill patients for many years. He focuses on counseling fellow veterans, reassuring them that death is nothing to fear.
He has spent thousands of hours at the bedsides of dying people and has been with over 2,000 individuals as they passed away. Driven by his passion, he created a program called the Twilight Brigade. It works with the Veterans Administration to make sure no military veteran dies alone.

Despite being physically limited by serious injuries, Brinkley proudly knows he’s helped many people face death, regardless of whether science or religion agrees with him. He said he gives his talks because “nobody dies. It never happens. It’s not part of reality.”

Her name is Julia Fischer (from Vienna) and she had a near-death experience at the age of 6. She recalled the incident from 2003 when she was six years old. She describes waking up with a severe headache, which led to her collapsing shortly afterward.
This event marked the beginning of a life-threatening cerebral hemorrhage, resulting in her being taken to the hospital and placed in intensive care for two weeks. While in intensive care, Fisher had a near-death experience. She describes the sensation of “slipping out” of her body, feeling as though a layer was lifted off her.
She found herself floating about two meters above her bed, observing her own body lying with tubes connected to her head. Initially, she did not fully understand what was happening but soon realized that something was not right. This realization led her to the conclusion that she might be dead.
