Congressman Tim Burchett, a Republican from Tennessee, expressed his support for the UAP disclosure and criticized the UFO hearing that took place on May 17, 2022. He also expressed frustration with the lack of information gathered by the Department of Defense regarding reported sightings and claimed to have personally witnessed events that he believes may be unsettling to many. He also alleged that there is a government cover-up of information related to UAPs.
A total of 247 incidents have been reported since June 2021, the majority of which were filed by U.S. Navy and Air Force pilots. A significant number of reported sightings is determined to have been caused by drones, balloons, weather events, airborne plastic bags, or even birds. However, 171 incidents remain unexplained.
Rep. Tim Burchett has a long-standing belief that the government has been withholding information about UFO sightings, as well as otherworldly aircraft, technology, and materials. This is not the first instance in which he has publicly expressed this viewpoint.
It is obvious that some individuals may speak condescendingly or make jokes about the topic, as stated by Burchett in an interview with Knox News. However, it has been reported that photos have been shared with him by pilots and those who have had military credentials. “I’ve met with scientists, some of the top people in the world, that tell me that we have extraterrestrial craft in our airspace on a regular basis,” Burchett added.
Burchett encourages people to look at the “tic-tac” video, as well as others recorded by military pilots and released by the Pentagon, which depict flying objects that unexplainably exhibit incredible speeds, rapid spinning, sudden direction changes, and disappearances.
On January 12, 2023, the Office for the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) released an unclassified UAP report which states that 510 UAP sightings have been recorded and that the number of reported sightings has increased by 366 since the 2022 report. This includes sightings that have been reported since the publication of the 2021 report, as well as additional 119 sightings that were either recently discovered or reported late but still fall within the timeframe of the previous report.
Rep. Burchett made a statement regarding the recent publication, he said “we’ve been covering this up since the 40s,” in an interview with NewsNation. He expressed that he does not trust the government and believes there is arrogance in their actions. He also stated that he believes the people of America can handle the information. He called for the government to release all information related to this topic and emphasized the need to find out what is happening.

“I just think open records are the best thing for any kind of government. I think the more secrets you have, the more it creates corruption and other things,” Burchett told Knox News. He expressed skeptic ism about the claims made in the recent government report.
The DNI report states that a large number of the recent UAP sightings were reported by American military personnel, particularly from the U.S. Navy and Air Force, during the course of their official duties. However, the report also noted that many of these sightings did not provide enough detailed data to reach a high level of certainty about the sighting.
Burchett stated that he has been informed by reliable sources that the government possesses evidence of extraterrestrial material but has continued to publicly deny its existence. “According to (the federal government), our little minds just can’t handle (the truth), and that’s that arrogance,” he said. “I just don’t buy that.”
He believes that more individuals will come forward with information about UAP sightings now that whistleblower protections have been put in place for those who report this information. “I think it’s gonna shock people about the vastness of our universe. You really, honestly, think we’re the best that God can do?” Burchett asked.
It is hard to argue against Burchett’s position that all information related to UAP should be made public. The question that arises is: “What is contained in the classified report that is not visible to the public?” There are only two possible explanations: the information pertains to highly classified military technology, or it is something that the public may not handle well. The latter possibility lends credence to theories about extraterrestrial life.
Burchett has come up as the new face of UFOlogy who criticized the government for UFO-coverup and was not pleased with the Pentagon officials’ testimonies as according to him, there are other witnesses with much better information. Moreover, he stunned everyone during an interview with Ross Coulthard in his new Blockbuster UAP / UFO – Full documentary.
The documentary features Rep. Burchett showing clear polaroid photos of a hovering metallic flying saucer on his phone to Coulthart. He mentioned that those pilots had shown him photographs of very unusual objects and that there is something in the airspace that is not under human control, which is a cause for concern.

According to him, it may all have started after the government recovered crashed alien vehicles. During an interview for On Balance With Leland Vittert, Burchett was asked about the Navy’s possession of more videos of UFOs that it is not willing to release to the public for the reasons of National Security.
“We are the most technologically advanced nation in the world, and they present us with these lousy videos, which — during the hearing — weren’t even able to pause properly to show us two or three frames,” he said. “Everything is bad, they don’t trust us. It’s all about power and control,” Burchett noted.
The Congressman was asked about the Navy’s statement regarding their refusal to release more videos of UAPs, and whether it was because it was proprietary technology that should not be shared with other nations. He replied that he believes the U.S. Government has likely reverse-engineered alien technology and that many sightings are made over military bases or restricted airspace.

The Congressman was also asked about his thoughts on whether the Navy was working on technology that could have applications in space or similar to that. In addition, he was asked whether he thought Roswell was a weather balloon. “They are covering it up, and American taxpayers should sue them. It’s so compartmentalized that probably a lot of the people working on it — reverse engineering projects — don’t even know what they’re working on,” he said.

Rep. Tim Burchett is skeptical of how the federal government would handle reports of UAP sightings. He said, “I would suggest that if you reported anything to the federal government, it will either be covered up or they will not take any action.” He recommends that people contact organizations such as the Mutual UFO Network, a nonprofit organization that has been investigating UFO reports globally since 1969.

Like many others interested in disclosure, I was heartened by the NYT article in 2017 as well as the huge efforts since by a a variety of people like Knapp, Elizondo, Mellon, Corbell et al. I was even more heartened to see congress come on side with legislation and hearings [public and private]
However, it is increasingly apparent that those determined to block disclosure are doubling down. The reports presented to Congress and the one public hearing have been duds. Congress is being misled and taken for fools. Many believe this trickle process of information is essential to “condition” the public for the biggest story in history, and that disclosure will come. I no longer believe that. There are those whose first and only priority is to weaponise this knowledge to use for purposes of military superiority. They are the ones calling the shots.
Congress can continue being treated like fools or use its own undoubted powers to bring these miscreants to heel.
