British UFO researcher and former MUFON representative for England Philip Mantle reported that Russian submarines are waging a secret war with alien ships deep under the ocean. During the Soviet era, it was restricted to talk about UFOs and USOs but when it got disintegrated, some files came up with shocking information about alien spacecraft. The declassified documents said that the Russian navy found these unidentified objects technologically superior to Earth vehicles.
Philip Mantle in collaboration with author Paul Stonehill wrote the book “Russia’s USO Secrets: Unidentified Submersible Objects in Russian and International Waters,” where they talked about the secret encounters of Russian veterans with alien technology and UFOs underwater.
The book, in particular, tells about a strange incident that took place in the Bermuda Triangle in 2009. According to former nuclear submarine commander Yury Beketov, many mysterious events also took place in the Bermuda Triangle region. The devices failed for no apparent reason. He believed that the UFOs were behind it.
“[In Translation]We have repeatedly observed that devices record the movement of material objects at an unimaginable speed. We measured some speeds – it is about 230 knots (400 km per hour). Such speed is difficult to create on the surface, only in the air. But there is gigantic resistance in the water. As if the laws of physics do not apply to these objects. There is only one conclusion: the creatures who created such material objects significantly surpass us in development” Beketov said.
Another Navy intelligence Captain Igor Barclay said that the Unidentified submerged objects were seen in the places where the Russian Navy and NATO fleet are concentrated. He said: “These are the Bahamas and Bermuda, Puerto Rico. Especially often UFOs are seen in the deepest region of the Atlantic – in the south of the Bermuda Triangle and in the Caribbean.”
The book also contains stories of the former Soviet military about the aggression by unidentified underwater objects during the Cold War. Lieutenant Commander Oleg Sokolov said that being on duty, he had seen a strange object rising from the water through the periscope.

Another team watched as a cigar-shaped UFO shot three beams of light into the Atlantic Ocean. According to the eyewitnesses, the object was 200-250 meters long. The UFO was slowly descending into the ocean, making a strange hissing sound, about half a mile from the submarine, but it was not detected by radars.
Marine scientists from Sevastopol (now Russia) noted that they had seen a giant “wheel” spinning under the Black Sea. This happened while they were diving into the sea. There are records of how a Soviet submarine collided with the gigantic underwater object heading for the coast in 1951.
The captain ordered to drop bombs in the path of the USO, but the object did not react to the attack and continued on its course before rushing to the surface. At a depth of 50 meters, it stopped, changed course, and left.
The authors provide information on the observation of UFOs by Soviet sailors in the Mediterranean Sea in July 1978. At that time, the captain of the Soviet motor ship Yargora immediately sent a radiogram to the Russian Academy of Sciences in Moscow, informing that the object of white pearl color had the shape of a flattened sphere.
In addition, other UFOs appeared near Soviet submarine bases, which forced the USSR General Staff to take them seriously.
The book also publishes the results of a study by the Commission on Anomalous Phenomena of the Russian Geographical Society in St. Petersburg, which concluded that “UFOs are real.”
According to Philip Mantle, the researchers are now taking the USOs phenomenon very seriously, and it is going to be a new chapter in the study of UFOs in the future.
The most interesting encounter of the Russian military occurred beneath Lake Baikal in 1982. Seven trained Russian navy divers claimed to have seen about 9 feet tall humanoids, 50 meters deep into the lake during a research mission. They were wearing tight silvery suits and spherical helmets on their heads. It was surprising for the divers to see them without any scuba gear, breathing underwater.
The divers decided to catch one of them but the entities reacted with a powerful force that propelled the entire group of divers up to the surface from the deep water. Due to the rapid decompression, three divers died while others got severely injured.
A former employee of the British Government’s Ministry of Defence Nick Pope said, “These strange humanoid figures were much bigger than human beings and appeared to be wearing a helmet of some sort.”
In 1959, the Soviet TU-104 Camel jet airliner was chased by a UFO while flying over Lake Baikal. “Before falling into the lake, the captain of the ship allegedly informed the dispatchers about an unidentified flying object moving in the sky. All those present in the control room at that time had to sign a non-disclosure agreement. And the people fishing at the lake nearby saw a flying saucer chasing the falling plane – it accompanied the aircraft until the latter fell to the water.”
They havge seen underwater technology that is almost certainly off-world, but have not engaged in combat. So this title is misleading, as are many similar UFO titles. The subject needs considered opinion and science, not jornalistic hyperbole.
